Bloodborne Pathogen Training

About Course

Bloodborne pathogens (commonly called BBPs) are infectious microorganisms in human blood that can cause disease in humans.  Workers in many occupations, including first responders, housekeeping personnel, nurses, and other healthcare personnel, all may be at risk for exposure to bloodborne pathogens. It is important to always exercise caution when dealing with biological waste or any other possibly infected material.  In this training you will learn the different types of bloodborne pathogens, how these pathogens are spread, how to keep yourself safe, and what to do if you’ve been recently exposed.
